PPEP
Microbuisiness, and Housing Development Corporation (PMHDC)
offers business loans. The purpose of these loans is to
promote community development. We don't just loan money,
we also offer services to help use it wisely.
PMHDC
has been designated and certified by the U. S. Department
of Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution
(CDFI).
In
2004, PMHDC has $2 million dollars available to serve eligible
borrowers for business and community development projects
in Southern Arizona.
All
SBA programs and services are provided to the public on a
nondiscriminatory.
Business
Loans
- Microenterprise
loans up to $35,000
These are "first time" loans for young businesses
intended to help increase your inventory or purchase equipment
to grow your business. Loan terms can rage up to five years.
- Bridge loans up to $75,000
For a successful, maturing business - use one of these loans
to purchase fixed assets like equipment or a business vehicle.
- Small
business loans up to $150,000
Finance new office space or expand existing facilities.
This loan can also be used for community development in
rural areas. These loans can also be used to develop new
jobs or preserve existing jobs.
- Community Facilities Loans
These are loans to promote community development. They are
for non-profit charter schools, day-care centers, and other
facilities that provide services to low and moderate-income
communities.

Assistance, Training and Development Services
- Bi-National
Revolving Loan Fund for imports/exports
- Business planning for very small businesses
- Bookkeeping referral services
- Individualized technical assistance in business planning.
- Bilingual training in entrepreneurship.
- Technical assistance for community-based micro-enterprise
associations.
- Training, technical assistance, capacity building and project
development assistance for nonprofit developers of affordable
housing.
- Support to access new markets, information and resources
utilizing e-commerce technology.
- Working with youth and other community members to identify
and support development of new economic opportunities.
